Gmail users are generally very happy with the service provided by Google, but did you know that there are some tools that can make the mail service even better?
Xoopit is one of these tools. It's a Firefox extension that lets you manage your Gmail account in a completely different way. It scans the content of your mailbox and creates index lists with all the documents, photos, videos and other attached files you've received by email, so that you can browse them in a much more comfortable way.
Clicking on any item in these lists gives you the chance to open it up in full-screen mode, delete it, or share it with someone else. Xoopit can also connect with Facebook meaning you can update your status right from Gmail interface, as well as see basic information about the sender of any selected email, provided they have a Facebook account too.
Xoopit is definitely a great improvement on the Gmail service, especially when it comes to managing lots of attached files. Unfortunately it doesn't work with other webmail services or social networks.
